Survivor Story:

Ena Berger, a mother to two beautiful children, survived 9 bullets after being shot by a man she loved in 2012.

Ena, founder of Voice of Hope, has published a book “I survived nine bullets”, which has since sold over 900 copies, and will soon be available in bookstores.

A single mom from Benoni has used her voice to share her testimony to inspire and encourage women and men around the world.

Not only is Ena creating awareness against Domestic Violence, but she is also inspiring and encouraging victims and survivors to speak out, gain their strength and rebuild their lives.

Her daughter, Aimee, saved her live at the tender age of 13, after she was shot nine times by her life partner, who then committed suicide.

“I truly believe that love could conquer almost anything. As it is in my nature, I bestowed love and respect on the man in my life. However, his uncontrollable jealousy and obsessive behaviour lead directly to a brutal attack on my life.”

Her story is a riveting drama of how a courageous woman found herself the inner strength to triumph over intense physical and emotional trauma. "In a second, I saw how evil wanted to steal my life, however, God never left my side even in my darkest hour." Her testimony will not only touch your soul, but will reveal to you the awesome power of God, when He intervenes in a desperate situation.

“Life handed me a clean canvas to paint another scenery for my life, or I had a choice of holding on to the destroyed scenery."

Ena is planning to open a centre where women and children will be able to get help. She says “This is a very big picture but once all in place it will be revealed and God will lead the way.”

Her testimony will not only touch your soul, but will reveal to you the awesome power of Our Almighty God, when He intervenes in a desperate situation.
